What happened to the console war?

As I pop this game in from quite a hiatus from it, I sadly realized that this game is not being played anymore. Please let me know what the game does wrong or if people are just over the chaotic nonsense of it.
Yes, this is a post that is posing as a question to everyone reading it that is interested in online FPS games. I just recently picked up the PS3 version BRAND NEW for around $13 dollars and was excited to be jumping into this game again. I quickly jump on the PlayStation store download the Titan Map Pack, which is free by the way, and quickly jump into a game of free-for-all deathmatch. I play a couple games and then decide to back out and play some Vehicle Capture the Flag. There were 2 rooms available, and one of them was 0/16 which means no one was in that room. So I had no choice but to hop into the only available room and play with the eleven or so people that were playing ON A SATURDAY NIGHT.

Not to mention there are far better games out there, Killzone 2, Call of Duty etc.
Unreal Tournament 3 came out in Nov. of 2007 so its no where near 3-4 years old. I just don't understand why it hasn't kept interest this long. I thought about not having a leveling up system that might not keep people's interest but its still a hell of a game. You would just think more than 100 people would still be interested in it.
you're playing unreal on a ps3. a ps3.
I suppose it made the fanboys stir, being a PS3 timed exclusive was a strange idea but it gave it more attention on the PS3 version. It has GOD like updates that add amazing features for FREE.
It's a decent FPS but it just isn't...immersive enough I guess.
