Gamers are assuming that Sony has already claimed the 2009 crown. Nothing has ever been further from the truth. Make no mistake, Microsoft is about to unleash an arsenal of titles at E3, and when they are done showing off their line-up, against all odds, they will be the company to dominate in 2009.

Microsoft is about to blow you away. As expected, starting at E3 09, and finishing off at TGS 09, Microsoft will be showcasing their full arsenal of titles for the entire year. Their 2009 lineup, that will be gradually unveiled in the coming months, will be so overwhelming, that it would stun even the mighty Sony!

The only reason that Microsoft decided to avoid announcing any titles at GDC 09, was that they preferred announcing all their titles at a conference for gamers rather than one for developers. In fact, why burn some of your cards when you can wait a little longer, reveal them all at once to the right audience, and blow everyone away?

Mark my words, Microsoft is about to let yet another year slip through Sony's fingers, and in this article, you will find out why.

Makes a strong case, but I prefer Sony's lineup this year. (finally) I've been waiting for something I really wanted on PS3, and Killzone 2 really let me down.

Infamous is the first title since MGS4 I've had any confidence about. Rest of the year is strong too though.

I have to agree with this to be honest. Even without a PS3, it's hard to deny that Sony has a killer lineup this year.

Still though, big WTF at number 4 on that PS3 list. NGS2 is not a remake of the best action game of all time.

Tbh, Sony will be shitting themselves come E3. IMO.

We have Rares new titles, Mistwalkers new title and possibly an announcement of Alan Wake being released this year.

Tbh, If Mass Effect 2 was releasing this year, this year would seriously be over for Sony.

I admit i like some of the games from Sony this year, but the only ones i care about are Infamous (Probably a rent) Ratchet and Clank, Heavy Rain and White Knight Chronicles.

Now i know Halo:ODST is going to be DLC, but by god it will makes LOADS of money for both Bungie and Microsoft.

Plus when it comes to Bioshock 2, there is a high chance that the game will be a timed Xbox360 exclusive and won't release on the PS3 till 2010, giving Microsoft even more sales.

I guess only time will tell, lets see what happens at E3 shall we?

Pretty sure ODST is going to be stand alone.

Wow, I guess the 'let's shit on Sony' mentality hasn't ended yet. Honestly, Sony is set to win this year, how can anyone be disappointed in them now? We've got GoW3, Uncharted 2, inFAMOUS, WKC, R&C, and KZ2 already out and proving a hit, how Sony is still on the track for loss is truly beyond me...

Eh, it's hiphopgamershow.com, so it's not exactly omgwtfthisisrealnews-so-take-it-literally! More of an opinion piece meant to get you PS3 fans (and fanboys) worked up.

I don't see what the point of these articles are, really. You get whatever games makes you happy, and you play what you have, which is obviously your console of choice if you bought it. Doesn't mean the other console is better or worse, just wasn't your preference. Hell, I have an Xbox 360, and I don't regret my purchase at all; doesn't mean there aren't great games on the PS3 I'd like to try. So what's up with these articles? Oh, right, site traffic... carry on.

I honestly don't think Microsoft has enough to rival the quality of Sony's titles this year. Look at the PS3's line-up this year...
    - Killzone 2
    - God Of War III
    - Uncharted 2
    - inFamous
    - Heavy Rain
    - White Knight Chronicles
    - Ratchet And Clank

And besides, it's even arguable that Sony won 2008, or at very least earned a hard-fought stalemate. It was truly the first year they were able to give Microsoft a run for their money in the exclusives stakes.

I like Microsoft's chances. Honestly though, no game Microsoft releases this year will come close to being as epic as GoW3. Not ODST, not anything. GoW3 is my pick for game of the year.

God of War is pretty shitty imo. Played the first 2 and the one on PSP and in reflection, I thought it was a pretty generic hack-n-slash with a mediocre story and mediocre characters.

I couldn't care less who wins this "console war." Either way, I picked 360 and I'm glad I did. Cheaper console, cheaper games, and a selection that best suits my taste. No regrets there.

The best thing out of this is that Microsoft will have to work hard to match what I consider to be Sonys finest lineup in years. Am so excited for E3 2009, to see how all 3 companies challenge the boundries of entertainment and provide stellar software lineups.

Yeah yeah. People say Microsoft will dominate every year. People say each year is the year of the PS3 also.

I don't care one bit about the whole "who'll win this year." You know who will win? I do!

I WILL WIN! Because I will buy and play any games I like, no matter what console it is on. Therefore while others may be worrying themselves about this or that concerning the console war, I'll be enjoying my games.

I'm looking forward to hearing what is up Microsoft's and Sony's sleeves this year......it's what keeps me paying attention to the convention in the first place. Who will win? The gamers.
