Why Destructoid is Wrong About PlayStation Trophies

PlayStation LifeStyle's editorial argues against Destructoid's claim that PS Trophies are meaningless and unsuccessful compared to Xbox 360 achievements, shutting down all of Destructoid's main arguments. A great read, with a good lesson on why research is pivotal when writing opinion pieces.

Destructoid posted an article that strongly criticized PlayStation Trophies, while at the same time stating that Xbox 360 Achievements are significantly more meaningful and successful. However, Destructoid’s circular logic and repetitive complaints did little to actually explain why it held this to be true. In fact, many of the complaints it made were flat out wrong.

      Having read it, I actually don't mind the article. =P

      PSLS seem to be better when they aren't commenting on shit rumours...

      ...I still prefer my achievements over my trophies though.

    Destructoid REALLY made themselves sound like fanboys in the "article." I'm seriously hoping it was just a badly attempted satire or some kind of joke, because none of their points even make sense. They put achievements on this pedestal, but then trophies, which are essentially the same thing, bring nothing to the gameplay. But achievements do? I just don't understand it at all. You can't be more biased than this.
