Casual game clearly reflects the games we used to play when we were younger, however one thing has changed. These games used to be for the hardcore gamer, some games taking hours on a single level while you furiously tried to decipher how to have one more parasol in Lemmings.

Casual games are now all the rage, catering to all ages and genders. The question is, are we just repeating the past? Most casual games are based on simple premises and take little effort or concentration to play, hence the name. When we look back through time to what we now call retro gaming we can see many similarities to the games of today.
