TheGamerAccess.com has published a video comparing the difficulty in Call of Duty:World At War, Resident Evil 5, and Guitar hero. This video shows how the difficulty changes based off of the settings you choose and asks what type of difficulty you guys prefer.

Let's talk about game difficulty. Would you rather win World War II on recruit, or test your skills in Veteran? When fighting zombies, do you want to shoot once and move on, or would you prefer to unload on one guy while dodging your heart out? Let us know.

I find the majority of games way too easy. It is hard to find a game that is actually... hard , challenging and fun, while still being fair.

Very true, most games these days just enforce cheap difficulty by either upping enemy stats, reducing your own, or having infinite spawning enemies or worse yet, scalar difficulty so you feel like you're never getting stronger. True difficulty is just so rare these days. I'm hoping Bayonetta will change that because I get the feeling it might be a game with true difficulty rather than cheap difficulty, we'll just have to see I suppose.

I miss games like banjo-kazooie,Zelda OoT, and the SNES marios. Plus Dynamite Heady, that game was FUN and challenging.

Personally i'd go on the walk with lots of cakes...

Seriously though. For me, it depends on the game. For instance, LBP should be easy but fun, where as Killzone should be difficult but without it being annoying.

balancing difficulty with fiarness is one of the more difficult parts of being a video game developer.
tbh i prefer playing easy games on hard-mode. that's usually an even challenge.

It really depends on the game for me. If I'm really into it, I'll play it on most difficulty levels. If I just want the story, I'll play easy and breeze through it.

RE 5's difficulty level baffles me though. I'm playing it on easy right now, and the guns I'm using are the equivalent of throwing rocks at boulders. I can shoot a zombie in the head 3 times and they not go down. What's the point of head shots if they don't work?

Because they're undead, thus not needing the brain to function.

I agree with Willie,it depends on the game. If it's something that I'm either new to or suck at,I'll play on normal (I almost never play on easy),then if I want to,I'll go through on a higher level.

I usually will play through on easy or medium for my first playthrough. If I enjoy the game (Gears, RE5, or Metal Gear), I will go back through the game on the harder difficulties.

I would say, Resident Evil 5 is hard. Considering that you get chased by a bunch of zombies. And they run too. I own resident Evil 4 and that game took me awhile because I would run out of bullets most of the time.
