GameObserver's resident Nintendo fanboy takes time to rip into another aspect the big "N" lags in: online games. The crazy blogger sounds like he fell off his rocker only to actually make sense in the end (as usual).

One of his proposals is bringing games like Maple Story for the Wii - an MMO that, according the author, would fit in perfectly with Nintendo's child-friendly theme.

Maple Story is a very family friendly styled game and its success has seemingly recently spawned countless other free online MMOs that use this very child friendly approach. Frankly I think Nintendo is missing a huge opportunity by not picking up on games like this and putting them onto their systems. Who knows, maybe one day yet Nintendo will wise up and even put out their very own MMO, and no, Animal Crossing doesn’t count.

Nintendo and MMOs won't really go together until they abolish the horrid concept known as Friend Codes. Whoever came up with that genius idea needs to be fired. Whoever approved the idea needs to be shot.

The problem is that Nintendo is still standing by their Gamecube-era coda of making their games cooperative, not online-enabled. And for some reason, all of their flagship games' developers are having issues with implementing that. Miyamoto (bless his imaginative brain and heart) may have copped out a bit with saying that New SMB Wii is unable to handle online play with all the processing power taken up but he just probably couldn't find a way to get it going online in a way that would be entertaining. I'm sure he's at least tried.

Also, the suggestion of Maplestory is an abomination upon us all. Screw Maplestory.

I doubt Miyamoto tried to put online in NSMB Wii.

If Brawl could do it (and sucked horribly) then so can this game to. (and suck horribly).

Ninty just isn't the same anymore and come on MKwii/Brawl and others such as Battalion Wars wii, CoD, Animal Crossing and DBZ do alot more procesing than NSMBwii and all have online. So why not this one?

OMG. Maplestory Wii would be awesome!!! If only FC's didn't exist ;-;. I wish the wii would have a wiinet update where u can download software to you wii. So instead of makin the MMO's into games you can just play dirrectly off the wii.
