Wait, Kojima is involved with this? Goddammit, hello to hour long cutscenes...

Lol, I was going to say the same exact thing, Darknet, but I was a bit afraid someone would bite my head off over it.

But his involvement could be a great thing for the game. In my opinion, his attention to detail is unsurpassed compared to anything I've ever seen. He's very dedicated to his work.

In a way though, I almost hope this is a failure to the point that he decides he can make no other games than MGS, and then he just announces MGS5 through MGS12 or something like that.

I'm just that kind of MGS fanboy.

3D Castlevania games on the consoles have failed continuously (bar the N64 ones) because they've been linear hack n' slashers. Unless they actually manage to make something different, there's really nothing making it stand out from the 4 other slashers from very talented studios.

If Kojima is behind it, then we know it will be good.

However, I'm concerned. The plot and main character are far too cliche.

    1. Guy's wife gets killed by demon.
    2. Guy finds out about an evil mask that can bring back the dead.
    3. Guy slaughters demon after demon tracking down said mask.
    4. Guy finally gets to the mask in the end where some plot twist will take place and it turns out he was being used all along for evil purposes, at which point he will turn against the guy who was giving him clues about the mask and win. Perhaps the clue-feeding man was the one who sent a demon after his wife because he knew he could then use the fucking tool of a main character to track down the mask (which may or may not actually bring back the dead) for him. In the end he saves the world but at great personal cost. Boo hoo.
    5. ????
    6. Profit!

That's all I can tell from the trailer. Hopefully since Kojima is the master of complicated plots he can liven it up a bit.

Almost sounds like Rondo of Blood and Lament of Innocence.

Patrick Stewart, Robert Carlyle and Jason Isaacs? Ffffffuuu- their casting bill is going to be huge. Looks quite a lot like GoW I thought, not that that could be a bad thing.
