The Joker and Jigsaw are the wickedest minds in gaming history. This year we will see who reigns supreme between both asylums. Set traps, use mind tricks, kill or be killed is the name of the game and The Joker along with Jigsaw will test you later this year on Xbox360 and Playstation 3.

This year we will see two blockbuster games , two blockbuster characters, with blockbuster blood all over their hands. So I know ask you who has the sickest and most twisted mind.

Saw (and Jigsaw thusforth) is an uncreative *bleep*ed up movie which was created by a teenager. Oh, and the main character is basically a complete rip off of a Punisher villain.

The Joker is a sadistic maniac who's completely unbeatable, probably the best villain in comic book history and one of the best of all time.

I think we know who wins here.

Yeh man, I thought it was talking about the Punisher's Jigsaw vs Joker, that would have at least made a bit of sense, being comic book matchups. What in the Lord's name has the saw film got in common with the Joker? what a bullshit pair up man, joker is a criminal mastermind whereas the saw dude is just a freakin weirdo. What next, Columbo vs. Curious George

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's a rip off of a Punisher villain.

Having the same name is a bit different than being the same character. I don't think that the Punisher's Jigsaw ever put people in life threatening contraptions. In fact, judging from what I saw of that terrible movie, I'm pretty sure he's just a dumb, disfigured gangster.

I'm not saying one Jigsaw is better than the other, but Saw's Jigsaw is most certainly not a rip-off of The Punisher's Jigsaw.

Either way, the Joker owns them both...

The movie screwed him over a bit man, in the comics he's more of a nemesis. As long as we're talking comics and movies, the jigsaw name is what's in question about the rip-off, I'd say. Then again, it's a fine line between "artistic influence" and rip off.

They still have NOTHING to do with each other. The very suggestion that the comic book character influenced the other is weird enough as it is.

I never said influence. I said in general the creative world CALL it "artistic influence" when they wanna rip off somthing, whether that's a name or a character or whatever.

Their names are the same, that's more than enough to draw a link between em. I don't know enough about the saw films to tell you if there's anything beyond that, but the fact of the matter is, we've thrown comic books into the comparison here, we're cross-comparing the mediums, so straight away the similar names are gonna jump out. Why the name Jigsaw, why use THAT particular name when it's already been established? Especially IF you're gonna then cross over into the comic book world. We're not talking law suits or anything like that, it just seems lazy man.

Wow, then let's compare any other franchise that accidentally shares a common name.

No, YOU are comparing comic books for some reason, the article is talking about video games.

Established? I'd bet you more people recognize the Saw films more than a certain comic book villain. Secondly, if you watched the movie you'd actually know...to even concieve the thought that they just plastered a random name or that they ripped off a comic book character is either stupid or delusional.

Seeker X, What did you write the saw films or something, seems you've been unneccassarily offended by this man.

Yes, anything that has a similar name, as a human being, I shall be inclined to compare. They've made a cross over into the comic book world here, with saw; SAW VS. JOKER, they've crossed it over. The punisher villain, is more established in MY MIND, as far as I'm aware he's been around longer; but what you don't seem to understand is, I'm not speaking, UNIVERSALLY. I'm talking, for myself, and for anyone else who reads comics more than they watch films, they will be inclined to draw that comparison. Have we cleared that up? THink what you want man, doesnt bother me. I know what I think, thats enough.

      Stupidity like this:

Oh, and the main character is basically a complete rip off of a Punisher villain.
And it's also what I get for trying to take you seriously.

Star of Spurs Jun 12, 09
You see, I said that, so that's the first flaw. I'm pretty sure that Jigsaw was more than just a name, as (I think) they're both disfigured, they're both insane and I believe they both have a vendetta. I'm guessing here, I've never seen any Saw films.

He's probably not an entire rip-off, but I assume he's at least influenced him.

Eh, no...I was pointing to THAT comment because I was talking about YOU. And since you obviously knew nothing of what you were talking about (evidently clear by your own comment RECANTING your previous one) there WAS no flaw in my comment...and you did most of the work for me anyways.

          *Sigh*

I meant that I felt like giving you an actual reply relevant to the article instead of being snide and mocking whatever fallacies you had in your comments like anybody else would've done.

You kind of, sort of had me somewhat going along with your some of the points you were making until you said that.

By not having seen the Saw films, I'm pretty sure your argument on the subject just lost all validity...
