Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

The developers were obviously going for a dark, comic-book style for inFAMOUS and it fits the gameplay perfectly, as you play as a superhero (or superantihero) with electric powers who leaps around a city in chaos, dealing death to evildoers and/or innocent bystanders depending on the choices you make. So what went wrong?
"Did you spot what was missing? Character interaction, development, empathy, identifying with our hero in any way."

'Cos I swear you've said that exact same thing for about almost everything.
I trust X-Play
I trust inFamous
"oh manz dat game is rubbsh day story is stoopid"
I think the bad reviews are mostly done because like any game that gets a lot of credit as being decent or good, there are those who think it's cool to trash it.
Then again, reviews are people's oppinions, so . . . but back up your opinion with some merit and not "I think, therefore it is!"
If I want a good story I'll read a book or watch a film; if I want to blow shit up with electric grenades and grind on wires whilst firing bolts at the Klu Klux Conduits I'll play a video-game.
Not to say both together isn't nice, as MGS for one example has demonstrated, but if a game can nail the gameplay aspect as well as inFamous then it's already going to be above average, imo at least. So long as the story is half-way decent then it's absolutely fine.
And yes sir, I do say the same thing about the games I follow. Yup.
I spent the whole game mindlessly doing tasks for various people without thinking. I get talked back to anytime I do. Who the hell is Moya? We never even see what happens to her. Do we even see her face? She doesn't have an ending. Sasha is stilled wrapped in mystery. What happened there?
Kessler and Zeke are the only ones who had feelings in this game. Zeke had no ending and was a royal spazz. Kessler was made out to be a random bad guy that we later find out is the central character.
Such memorable story moment included:
spoilers -> "John just died. Whatever."
"My girlfriend just died. Whatever."
"Zeke almost killed everyone again. Whatever." <- spoilers
Cole's only response throughout the game is anger. We don't even need to hear him talk; we can just assume that in all dialogue he says something anger-based about kicking someone's ass. Despite this he just runs around following orders.
"Cole, you don't know me and I know you're the most capable and powerful person in the city but I feel the need to give you orders."
"Don't worry I'll follow them and shrink back anytime I become assertive"
Don't get me wrong about the gameplay though; it's a great game that I thoroughly enjoyed playing. The constantly shifting environment and array of tools make it interesting to keep playing. Then there are the random swarms where they let you let off some steam, like the prison mission of the generators ones with the lightning storm.
As far as story-telling goes though? Probably the worst of my PS3 games.
I agree with the article about character devlopment. I'm almost at the end of Warren, and character relationships are really shallow. Coles gf hates him in the beginning and likes him when he does some good stuff, and thats shown through horrible cutscenes. (Talking about CUTSCENES, not the digital art) Zeke becomes a pain in the arse and lets a police team get killed, and almost nothing comes from it except a couple of phone calls about how hes so messed up.
I love the game, I'm playing it right now, and having a blast with it, but the devs should have worked on polishing the character relationships a bit. I'm not asking for RPG level depth, but a little emotion would have been great.
I DO have to agree with you on the way Cole is though. Playing, I had seen that even when you're a good guy and a hero, you're pretty much a jerk with the way you respond. But in life that's how some---many---are.
