With the way things are with the world's economy even the video game industry isn't exempt from feeling the pinch. Marvelous Entertainment is definitely one of those companies who are feeling the heat right now. A staff blog post (presumably by the Managing Director Yasuhiro Wada) states how they feel about their software sales on the Wii. He states how poorly some of their main titles have been selling on the Wii and says that, "I truly have teary eyes. I feel like crying."

However, there is still some hope for them. He states that their titles which have been a hit are continuing to sell well. He also pleaded readers to pre-order Little King's Story so that retailers would stock up on the game. It would truly be sad for them to suffer this way for trying to cater to a niche market on the Wii.

Marvelous Entertainment also made a post on the staff blog for Little King’s Story where they mentioned that games such as No more heroes, Rune Factory F, Oboromuramasa, Arc Rise Fantasia etc were all games that they have tried their best to make under very limited time and budget but all of these games have experienced similar shipment numbers, all of which are not very high. And he feels like crying.

But the writer also adds that despite the current bad market, games that sell are still selling really well, so it’s probably just a lack of ability on Marvelous Entertainment’s part.

To provide more of a context, all of the games mentioned (sans LKS) have been released in Japan, where it has seen not-so-great to mediocre sales. At the same time, though, nothing's really selling in Japan right now.

No More Heroes and Rune Factory Frontier are already available in the US.
No More Heroes and Little King's Story are already available in Europe.

That said GO PRE-ORDER MARVELOUS' GAMES

Seems obvious what the solution is if your right Akira EX, release the games world wide instead of just limiting them to Japan.
