Though not directly in tie with the game, Stephen @ Resume Play selects several characters from both the Marvel and Capcom Universes who he thinks are evenly matched, then he goes on to describe who would win if it came down to things. Interesting match-ups include Dante vs. Wolverine, Nemesis vs. Venom, and even Phoenix Wright vs. Matt Murdock.

I have taken the time to select eight great (and evenly matched) characters from both Marvel and Capcom and have decided to do a mock tournament for a little fun. I will break down the strengths of each contender, how I think the fight would go down, and state the winner. This is only the first round. The second round, semi-finals, and final match will be in the upcoming weeks. Those of you that know understand that I am a Marvel fan, but I promise to be un-bias and give Capcom credit where it is obviously due. Feel free to agree, disagree, or even mock up matches you would love to see, and how they would turn out. I hope you enjoy the first round of the MvC Mock Tourney!
