Getting sick and tired of everyone overlooking the Wii, I decided to write up an article showing off all the hardcore titles that are coming out in the coming months. Check the site for the list.

This year’s E3 was a feast for the eyes, showing off some very impressive games for all three major home consoles. While the Microsoft and Sony E3 press conferences were stuffed full of gaming goodness, the Nintendo press conference seems to be left in the dust. If you actually look at what Nintendo has coming out for the “hardcore” you will realize they are doing a better job of tailoring towards that crowd that they have in the past. Don’t believe me? then feast your eyes on this amazing list (in no particular order) that Nintendo has to offer for gamers like me and you (pointing my finger at you). I’m almost positive this list will have something for all gamers to enjoy, well, all gamers that aren’t worried about losing weight, waggling, or getting their heart rate checked.

The only one that even semi-interests me is the new Metroid.

...and it wasn't enough to make me keep my Wii the other day. Sold it already.

Dude sin and punishment 2? Right the *bleep* on, the original was an overlooked classic

I'm proud to state that I don't even have a Wii to throw away. Y'see, I like video games. I'm a big video game fan. That's why I own a 360 and a PS3, because they're video game consoles, made for people like me, who enjoy video games.

But no worries Nintendo, if I ever want a work out routine or an arsenal of useless peripherals you'll be the first shameless whore I come to. Promise.

Get off your *bleep*ing high horse and actually look at the library.

de Blob is not a video game? Super Mario Galaxy is not a video game? No More Heroes is not a video game? Punch-Out!! is not a video game?

I can keep going on, but hell, don't be an idiot. It is a video game console.

Don't worry, Akira, some people just haven't matured to the point of realizing things like the fact there are video game genres apart from shooters and hack-n-slash games.

If you look at my 125 games you will find I have plenty of non-FPS and non-hack-n-slash games. And I hadn't realized that some video game genres made you "more mature," hmm... I was actually playing strategy games and RPGs even as a little kid, but maybe I'm just the exception to the rule.

No different genres don't make you more "mature" I merely stated that "somepeople haven't matured to the point of realizing... there are video game genres apart from shooters and hack-n-slash" Which implied that those who tend to attack the Wii as something of not being a "real" video game console are those who indeed are not mature enough to realize the point that just because you don't like something, doesn't make it "PHAIL" and "Loser!" and all that stuff and not "real" and so forth (and no, I'm not saying you said those things, as clearly you did not use those words did you).

My previous statement was to insinuate that the Wii is not a video game console, not that the games themselves weren't video games. Obviously (or so I thought it was) I was making an exaggeration to point out how Nintendo could give less of a damn about actual gamers, and have been catering the Wii towards non-gamers instead, because that's where they are making the most money.

Truth be told there's a number of Wii games tempting me to buy a Wii, one of which was on that list (Muramasa). But alas, Nintendo's general whoreish-ness and lack catering towards actual gamers is what is preventing me from adding my gold to their coffers.

Once they stop making shit like the Vitality Sensor and Demo Play and start producing an actual online service, a console with HD capabilities, and invest in a bigger/better game library, then I'll be inclined to pick one up. Oh, and while I'm making demands, put Ogre Battle 64 up for digital download!

Not one of those games interest me :/

The only Wii games I'm holding out for are Silent Hill: SM, Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles, and possibly Ju-On: The Grudge... And they are all third-party titles. Other than that, "meh". If people want "hardcore" games, then why on earth did they buy a Wii?

Obviously, we did not attend the same E3.

I didnt say they did a great job, I said they did a better job than in the past. You cannot say they didn't.

Better than over a decade ago with the SNES? No wait, that doesn't sound right either. :S

Nintendo did such a great job that their executives didn't even bother showing up to their own press conference in person!

Wow that's a terrible list. The team ninja Metroid slightly interests me, but then again I don't like the idea of Samus having the same look and feel as Hyabusa, it'll just ruin it.

So yeah, crappy list, i'll stick to spending my money on the actual next gen games.

      A Boy and His Blob
      Muramasa: The Demon Blade
      No More Heroes 2
      Sin & Punishment 2

      All terrible?

Hell, this isn't even an extensive list.

Right.. how tight are them goggles?

Yup all terrible in my own opinion and probably in alot of other peoples too.

Makes me happy knowing that I sold my Wii and nothing good is yet to be announced for it.

You don't like the idea of Super Mario Bros making a comeback? With the same nostalgic feel and play?

          You're in the minority, bud.

Now you can't play gems such as Little King's Story, Monster Hunter 3, Arc Rise Fantasia, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, etc.

A bunch of good games have already been released and announced. But then again, your only qualifier of good and not good is "Is it on the Wii?"

I owned every game on the Wii that was fun to me. Galaxy, Brawl, Zelda, etc. It still wasn't enough to keep me interested. My Wii was boxed up for almost a year.

Sold it. Don't regret it at all. When I went to Gamestop the day after selling it, there were two people in line waiting to trade in their Wiis. The guy at Gamestop told me that they had a huge increase of sold Wiis after E3.

A Boy in his Blob perhaps, nut the other 3 are among the few Wii games I consistently find 360/PS3 owners suggesting that they'd like the games, and hoped for a release on their respective consoles.
Nothing against you and no disrespect to your opinion, but they're certainly popular among Wii owners and non Wii owners (Well as popular as Wii games get among non Wii owners at the least).

I've never head of anyone saying that they want those games on PS3/360. If they did, they would probably hit the arcade or PSN.

Everyone who was going to sell their Wii has already, and people who still have it probably aren't going to. Also call me crazy, but Nintendo haven't really done anything different since the Wii came out, it just now more third party developers are taking interest in the Wii.

I haven't even bought a Wii yet.I'm going to buy one though because I don't want the Wii for hardcore games and I've seen quite a few interesting games and the NSMB is a must buy for me.

The funny thing is that only now I have decided to buy a Wii am I sick of hearing people complain aboout the Wii.
