Globe and Mail's Chad Sapieha says that by putting us in the shoes of a Martian resistance fighter Red Faction: Guerrilla forces us to consider the motivations of real-world rebels.

Words like “terrorist,” “insurgent,” “resistance fighter,” and “freedom fighter” are loaded. All of them could potentially be applied to the same person, but we choose the one we want based on its positive or negative connotation and our own viewpoints. Red Faction: Guerrilla, a new game from Volition Inc. and THQ, challenges players to re-evaluate their perception of these subjective descriptors.

    You can see this without the game though, look at our wars now.

    It's all about perspective and who you affiliate yourself too.

    No one can logically call themselves a terrorist to their enemy, but always a soldier for their cause.
