Why Gears 1 should be re-released as a standalone MP game

With Epic disappointing many Gears of War fans with the multiplayer mode in Gears of War 2, should they re-release the original Gears of War as a stand alone multiplayer game with updated Graphics and new maps? It would certainly be a good seller!

The area that Gears of War succeeded the most was in Multiplayer. From the moment it released everyone was hooked on the multiplayer mode. Even today it is still played by many and it is still one of the best multiplayer experiences around.

    I don't think so it would be stupid if they it would cheaper and quicker to just fix gears 2's MP or just wait for gears 3

    Yeah... no. It's far more likely that Gears 2 would instead get a simple update rather than rebuild the original.

    I even highly doubt that will happen. An update like that isn't going to move copies, just bring people back for a short while to multi-player.

    I'd rather have a separate HALO 3 multiplayer on one disc with better stuff, for like 20 bucks.

    I couldn't support this, there is nothing wrong with the multiplayer in GoW2.

    Its on Epic's end that the problem lies, with their servers.

      I feel the same way, I actually don't seem to have server problems anymore either. I just wish I was better at it online so I could rank up, I'm horrible at it.

    I don't really see the need, just get Epic to actually put some effort into smoothing out the multiplayer in Gears 2
