New Challenger: 3 Reasons Why Gaming Will Destroy Itself Part 1

Sony head honcho Howard Stringer said the console maker would lose money on every PS3 if its price is cut. Should you take his word for it, or should Sony implement a PS3 price cut? Start speculating now!
The PlayStation 3 may be cheaper and more stable than the Xbox 360 overall, but let’s face it: Sony’s console still asks for $399, and can take its toll on your wallet. People haven’t been too crazy about the PS3’s price tag, which is probably why Activision CEO Bobby Kotick threatened to stop supporting PS3s.

For the same reasons said above, no. It'll happen . . . when it's feasible for Sony.
Shut the *bleep* up.
Sincerely yours, Hideo1.
I guess the only ones who complain about it's price are the ones who desperately want one, but can't afford it ( yet ).
... and the game developers, who think can easily make more revenue and profits when the PS3 userbase increases.
And the Devs are just looking at the smaller picture. In the long run if Sony starts losing money, they will too.
Just wait; if it ever drops to $299.99, people will complain about it even then. People these days are just built like that.
The console costs 399 in the US? Yeah, well stop whinging. It costs 699AUD here in Austrafagland. That equates to about 550USD.
