ResumePlay's Chris Mikos evaluates how game scoring has changed from being almost meaningless to something gamers chase for points now. Check the site for the full written article.

While watching my roommate play God of war 2 for the first time, I realized that him and I are two completely different types of gamers. When I play a video game, I play hard and fast and love finishing a game in the fastest time possible. All of the major factors in a game are vital to my enjoyment; factors such as story, controls, graphics, and game play. The extras and bonuses that many games contain, are the features that do not ignite any drive in me.

The first time I get a game, I set it to the easiest mode possible and go through it pretty quick to see the whole storyline.

After that though, I play through it again, but this time on a higher difficuty and I try to get as much as possible.

The first time I get a game, I play through it on the easiest mode.
Then after that, I still play it on the easiest mode because it makes me feel good :L
Haha no seriously I might do medium, or maybe even hard if I'm familiar enough with the game, but I'm never good enough to play any game on the hardest difficulty setting.

I like to take my time playing games and do what I can. Keep in mind that once you play a game through, you will never be able to play it for the first time again. The same goes for any music album or movie.
