Today Nick McCandless from TheGamerAccess.com talks about PlayStation Home and how it could be improved. They keep bringing us these spaces, but is that going to keep us all coming back everyday?

I honesty think it's a waste of Sony's time. They've more important things they should be focusing on. Barely 20% of the PS3 owner population even uses it, and more than half of those who do are just prepubescent boys pretending to be adults trying to hook up online with fake girls.

Yeah, but I think you're forgetting people with 360s and Wiis who use Home...

It makes them money, hardly a waste of time. It's pretty simple, if people don't like Home, they can completely ignore it...now can we quit the "get rid of Home" shit? You guys don't represent the entire population btw, there ARE people who use Home.

I won't lie, I really like the idea of Home even though I don't own a PlayStation 3. I do know a number of people who own the console but none of them use it for games, and when I asked how they were enjoying Home, they had no clue what the Hell I was talking about.

If they don't "foreclose" it, they really need to work on its marketing.

I love Home. I make the skankiest-looking female avatar I can, then proceed then obtain the e-mails of the above mentioned prepubescent boys and post them on /b/.

Closing Home would ruin mah fun.

I love HOME. I love the idea of HOME. I think they should put more focus on HOME and improve it.

HOME is like one big community, bringing all the PS3 owners together to chat or meet up to play games or discuss things. Right now HOME has a lot of good things, but there are tons of improvements to be made, such as delivering what they promised at the start and improve the communication aspect to make it so much better.

It was a good idea that doesn't seem to be panning out all that well...

Maybe with the PS4 it'll work out better, since it should (hopefully) be available out of the box, or at least really soon after launch.

When I used Home, it was mostly just to chat with some buddies. Faster than PSN messaging service anyhow, though those darn censors were annoying ~_~

It'll still be around. They put WAY too much into HOME for them to just stop. The only thing is, is that they need to improve things with it . . . and it'll get improved upon as time goes on. Let's just hope it's not TOO much time.

The problem is they're too apathetic to it, it seems anyway. If they went all out with HOME it would have been awesome but because they just trundled along with half-arsedly it's mediocre to most.
