Typically, when we think of villains we tend to imagine something along the lines of some madman gone off the deep end bent on the complete and total destruction of all things. Power-hungry monsters who desire nothing more than chaos and control. The Oregon Trail is a different kind of villain. It devours so many innocent lives and drives gamers to such a fit of frustration, it's no wonder it makes it into the Binge Gamer Villain Hall of Fame.

While not a villain, per se, The Oregon Trail is arguably the most treacherous creature in gaming history. Though it is an educational game, it has taken more human life than just about every WWII FPS game combined—a massive feat if you ask me, especially considering that developers have published more than 160 of the damn things over the years.
