Besides FFVII, Which Final Fantasy Game Would You Like To See Remade?

When asked which Final Fantasy game should be remade, most fans will say Final Fantasy VII. Psxextreme.com has held many polls on the topic and always end up with the same result. But with so many great games in the series, FFVII isn't the only one that deserves to be beautified for next-gen consoles.

So psxextreme.com asks the question: Besides FFVII, which FF game would you like to see remade?

But this got us to thinking: next to FFVII, what's the FF you would most want to see remade in a spiffy next-gen format? We'll go as far as Final Fantasy X just because we can certainly conceive of a flashier presentation and even clearer and more defined character models. Wouldn't it be nice to see Lulu in HD in all her curvaceous glory?
Then again, maybe we just need to leave the sprites of FFVI behind forever and watch the madness of Kefka play out before our eyes in a way we could never have imagined back in the early '90s. We'll be interested to see which gets your vote...

    X? *bleep* no. Some kind of graphical update for PSN or something -- MAYBE. But the game is still gorgeous I think.

      FFX is too recent. There wouldn't be that much of an upgrade; it would be a waste of time. People just voted for their favorite ones; I don't think they thought it through. I would LOVE to see FF6 on the PS3...just thinking of it makes me tingle. But McClubbin's right...it would probably see a disappointing DS release.

        I'd hate to see any remake other than FFI, FFII & FFIII, even if it's got sprite graphics like Cross Edge, they're the games that I'd like to play. Sure I can play anthology (which I need to get and play) but FFIII at the moment is DS exclusive essentially, so that's the one I'd vote for.

      IX is pretty as is also -- upgrading would kill its charm. Umm. Buy it on ebay or something!
      They may release it on PSN though as VII has done so well there.

    Gotta agree with Kefka. I'd definitely like to see FFVI. Imo it's only a matter of time. Besides, given the game's popularity, there isn't much financial risk associated with it. I don't see why it won't happen considering SE's recent re-release frenzy on the DS. That's pretty much the only platform I see it coming out on.

    Final Fantasy 6 is EASILY my favorite in the series; with Tactics being a close second. That game was perfect, the story alone from each of the characters could have made a full game in themselves. Not to mention Kefka being the most badass of all FF bad guys.

    Hm, VI would be a great remake and seems more likely, but I'd also like for them to consider the FF's on the PS1 (including Tactics).

    I'd like to see a remake of V,VI,VIII,and IX. X,like the others said,is way too recent to be remade.

    FF6 would be amazing to see remade, i have still yet to beat that game as i keep forgetting to wait for shadow and have to restart the game, caus y'know shadow is awesome Maybe add a few more dragons as optional bosses too!

    Also i'd like to see FF5 remade and maybe add 2 extra secret jobs which appear at the end of / after beating the game.

      Good idea,but what jobs could the add? Maybe SOLDIER and SeeD? *Imagines Bartz dressed like Cloud and Squall*

        Adding stuff from FF7 / FF8 to FF5 would just be stupid =|

        Well, they could do with adding maybe a Black Knight and White Knight as optional classes to go and find.

          Why would that be stupid?


          Let me guess,black knight would use low levels of black magic and white knight would use low levels of white magic? No thanks,I'd rather have the dark knight and paladin classes instead.

    I think FF8/9 needs to be redone.
