Sony's PlayStation 3 may be the most expensive console on the market, but that didn't keep it's sales that much lower then Xbox 360. While Xbox 360's offering start at $199, PS3 sold just 100,000 units less then the 360. With a higher price tag commanding higher revenues.

Fiscal Q1 sales figures hit the net recently, and the results show PlayStation 3 may be closing the gap. Microsoft sold 1.2 million Xbox 360 while Sony’s PS3 sold 1.1 million consoles in the same time period. On face value this appears that Microsoft is still besting Sony for yet another fiscal quarter, but this may be short sighted, considering Sony’s momentum.

It may cost more than the 360, but it has games you can't argue aren't awesome. Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, MAG, Final Fantasy 14, Killzone, God of War, Resistance, Fat Princess, Little Big Planet, and more that escape my mind ATM.

Only playstation lifestyle could say selling less equals winning.

And then say that consecutive lowering sales per month equals gaining momentum.

That, and how the PS3 is still around almost 10 Million units behind the 360. That is a HUGE gap. So how they're "winning" is a mystery.

Then again, with titles like GOW3 and Uncharted 2 just around the corner, who's complaining about unit counts?

Don't mess with Playstation Lifestyle. If they say they're winning, they're winning. It's an entirely unbiased site.

I don't understand what the hell you're saying.

Anyway, I was being sarcastic. Not quite sure how you thought I was serious.

They sold less but won. My eyes have finally been opened, how could I not see such an obvious conclusion before my eyes. I shall now go parade around naked at this logical revelation.

In other news Swine Flu was actually a hoax by an Australian politician.

The thing is what they are trying to say is that the 360 sold 1.2 million and the PS3 sold 1.1 million dispite being like $200 more expensive. Even at a low price point the 360 isn't selling enough, the 360 made that 8 million unit lead when the PS3 was not on the market so the PS3 is doing very very well.

Yes its doing well but its not doing well enough. To claim its winning is totality another thing.
