    Huzzah, I guess

If they leave the price as it is right now for the time being, they're gonna make a massive profit. No need in having a price drop just yet

At the moment the price is at a point where while people still aren't completely happy with it, they'll still buy it if they want it. So if they can hold onto this price point for a little longer, things'll turn out well.

Once the profit begins flowing in, they can begin to capitalize on it and focus on getting more sales.

I don't get what people are bitching about.

Entry Level PS3: $399 (Blu-Ray, DVD, NO power brick, reliability)

    Entry level 360: $199
    Wi Fi : $100
    Xbox LIVE : $50

By that math, right there, that means you're paying $50 more dollars for a Blu Ray Player. Seriously. THAT's IT. Everyone who says the PS3 is too expensive are *bleep*ing morons.

Hm let's see, most people don't need wi-fi plus it's very easy to find a wi-fi adapter for around $40-$50. Also i'm sick of people mentioning XBL it's $50 FOR A WHOLE YEAR and it's about 10x better than PSN.

So by your logic, seeing as we can get rid of the Wi fi, $250 isn't much compared to $399.

      Seriously, shut up.

Regular wi-fi adapters for computers won't work for the 360, simply because of the software drivers. Alternatives can include Gaming Adapters, but more than likely they would be the same price as the official 360 wireless adapter, so you're still spending a $100 for wireless gaming. Since the Arcade version of the 360 has no hard drive, just 256 mb of flash memory, that'll be another $100 for it. So yeah, if you're wanting a similar gaming experience with the 360 to that of Sony's console, that's S200 + $100 + $100, which equals to the same amount as a PS3. So by that logic, you're essentially getting your money's worth out of the PS3, especially if you purchase that bundle that comes with MGS4 and Killzone 2.

It just depends on different people. You can't see most people need or don't need the internet adapter or a harddrive, as it's mostly split down the middle. I needed both because my gaming setup isn't near my router and because you need a friggin harddrive with these fully online integrated consoles.

For some, the 360 is cheaper, for some, if they get the add-ons, it's more expensive. It's simple.

I was about to say, people aren't forced to buy those extras, so it really doesn't add up like that. People can get a barebones 360 for $199 without having to get that extra stuff. So no, they do not add up to the same.

Though XBL being 10X better than PSN? They're not equal, but that margin is just overexaggeration.
