Some commentary on PowerUp Forever, an unfortunately low selling Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade shooter from Blitz Games Studios' Blitz Arcade division.

It saddens me to see a good game go unnoticed. One such game that caught my eye is PowerUp Forever, a downloadable game for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network, released last year by Namco Bandai. Developed by the Blitz Arcade division of Blitz Games Studios, PowerUp Forever is a shoot ‘em up that fits perfectly in with its developer’s namesake.

I've never heard of this game, I know most of the PSN games that been released so far.

That's what I'm thinking too. I don't think this is a PSN game. It might only be on XBLA (At least momentarily).

Hmm, that's strange. I only have access to a 360, unfortunately, so I can't check on the PSN store on a PS3, but the game was supposed to have been released on PSN as well. A quick search brings the game up as being released in March of this year on EU PSN; perhaps there was some kind of issue with it. IGN reviewed it based on the XBLA version but listed it on their PS3 channel also, and it was reviewed in Playstation Official Magazine UK at the start of last month according to Gamerankings.

Hm . . . well searching the Playstation forums it seems other people have downloaded the game and played and enjoy it . . . so wow.

Lol maybe that's why so few people have the game: So few people KNOW about the game! I know it wasn't really advertised as far as I remember, at the venues I frequent.

I think that is the problem, nobody really knows about it! It's definitely worth a go, even if only on the demo to give it a chance (though the demo isn't quite indicative of the full thing on XBLA...not sure if there's a demo for it on PSN). Reviews were quite unfair on it IMO, which led me to write this.
