Very good article/rant. I'd have to say that Activison seem to keep making amazing games and then making crap where people HAVE to buy them.

Modern Warfare Prestige Edition for an extra $50?!
All the instruments for GH5 for about $200?!

I just hope they don't inspire other people. I'd rather just have a console and a collection of games rather than tat.

I personally do not mind the Guitar Hero preipherals though what i dislike is that every so often you have to buy them again as they add features to the instruments that the new games take advantage of. I hate every other peripheral though i was gonna buy RIDE but i am not paying £120 for a skateboarding game regardless of how good the controller is.

      Besides, I can skateboard myself.

Personally . . . None of this bothers me because I don't play any games that require me to buy some expensive peripheral! To me it'd be a waste of money and ridiculous to think of.

I've got plenty of games I can enjoy without those things!
