No they won't, because that's their main edge. There, now you don't need to read the article. I saved you time.

    No *bleep*ing way.

Now take down this article quick before Sony sees it and gets some crazy ideas.

I'm actually starting to get irritated with these types of things too. I've recently run into a person who claims to have researched and researched and he/she says "They will charge!" They'll bet their life on it, just because some old rumours or old stats or old info and people asking about it.

Look, Sony have said they will NOT charge for use of their PSN. Never. They will stick with it because that's their main thing. And I don't care what analysts say otherwise.

    Now . . . Please don't tell me this will replace the PS3 Slim articles! I have a very bad feeling . . .

      I hope so too.

Though now that the Slim is confirmed, we need something new to take over GameGrep.

Well then oh great. I just know that someday some idiot with an unusually high place in the Sony Corp. Gaming division will read this and say "hay he'z rightz!! imma starts chargin up my PSN!!"

God no. Maybe, MAYBE, MAYBE in the PS4 but I even doubt that. No fee's is an upside to psn.

Interesting read, but I dont think its gonna happen. Sony has done the right thing by gamers, having their network free for the Playstation 3. Unlike the almighty Microsoft that charged for Xbox Live from day one. Xbox Live was a crap service when it launched.

People need to keep in mind that Xbox Live was not born when the Xbox 360 released. When looking at how the Playstation Network is going and taking into account it's life span in compared to Xbox Live, Sony are doing a great job with their service. Sure there is no Party Chat feature on the PSN but give it time and it will happen.

Sony already charges the developers iirc. $0.16 US/Gb, or something like that. Meaning that for every Gb you or me download, Sony nets 16 cents from the developer of the content.

That's obviously just to pay for the bandwidth. Sony isn't making money from people downloading demos.
