Mafia 2 Graphically Slaps GTA4 In The Face

Mafia 2 surprised everyone ever since the debut trailer. Once gameplay was shown and the graphics were proven to be real-time everything changed in the open world sandbox genre.

Mafia 2 was automatically considered a Grand Theft Auto clone along with other titles like True Crime: Streets Of LA/NY but this time around Mafia 2 stands on it’s own merits.

    I hope the gameplay backs it up too. i haven't got hands-on with this title yet but i can't wait. mafia 1 was great though i love the story

    I'm no big fan of GTA but what made it fun was cheats. Heres hoping that Mafia 2 has some creative cheats.

    Mafia 1 also had awesome graphics, compared to the standards back then. I used to think of it as the game with the best graphics.
    Only thing I don't want repeating from the first game is "The Race".

    Nice. Another article comparing a game that has been out for a while. What else is new? Besides, GTA has never been a game that excelled in graphics anyway.

    With that said, this game is looking solid. 2010 is looking like an awesome year. ^^

      GTA IV is a year old game, yes, but it still has some of the best looking visuals (in the sandbox genre) around. Tbh, it sets the bar for graphics when you're talking about sandbox games.

    WHen you set the bar as high as GTAIV did, one can only expect someone else to outdo them eventually. No surprises.

    I didn't really think GTAIV was that good. Nowhere near as good as San Andreas mind.

      We're talking about graphics here.
      And GTAIV has much better graphics than GTA San Andreas.

    It does look good, if the gameplay can match that, I'll definitely consider getting this game.

    I just watched a vid on Mafia 2. Graphics look insane but, there is a lot of pop in pop out in the scenery. Hope this is fixed for release
