Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

Can Nintendo stay competitive with Sony and Microsoft offering more functionality for nearly the same cost or does Nintendo need to drop the price of the Wii to stay competitive?
There's no reason the PS3 and 360 should be in the same pricing range as Wii.

You know what? There are many people out there who actually LOVE the Wii and see it as equal or preferred to the PS3 and 360! Not due to price or anything either, but just because they like it and its games.
So let the Wii remain whatever price it will be, and sure, fine, let it have a price cut. But NOT simply for the fact that the other two consoles are getting within its range.
I don't know, I'm probably reading too much into it, but it just feels a tad like its subtly saying the Wii is just a toy and not worthy to be in the same league (price-wise) as the others.
Sure, Nintendo is of the habit to be the only one (at first that is) to sell their consoles for a profit, but that turns off people like me, that are sorta on the fence about getting one.
Business wise, their strategy makes sense, but it is at the same time, annoying ~_~
So, sure, drop the price for the customers, but again, not just because the other two are getting too close to it's price. When saying it that way, makes it sound belittling to it.
BTW, TT, Hope you enjoy the Wii if/when you get it. I have one and it's pretty fun sometimes. Though I don't get time to play it as often as the others. Most of the games I have for it are multiplayer games
A.) Price is not determined by the Internet console war, but by supply and demand. Wii prices will drop when demand drops, which obviously hasn't happened yet.
B.) People buying Wiis aren't buying them because the other consoles are expensive, they are buying them because they want a Wii. The people buying Wiis are either younger kids getting first consoles for birthdays, casuals to finally plug into hype, and gamers who want a secondary/tertiary console to their others. Most people who planned on buying the Wii as their primary console did so years ago, just like with the other systems. The Wii offers a completely different set of games to the other consoles, who have pretty much the same lineup save a few exclusives.
C.) Once again, the number of videophile tech geeks that the raw horsepower of the consoles matter to are a very small but vocal section of the market, and have probably bought the systems they want by now anyway.
In the end consumer demand is king in the game of capitalism.
