Other PS2 Games that Should be Re-Released for the PS3

Sony has pulled a brilliant move by re-releasing a the God of War series on Blu-Ray. Featuring HD and trophy support. The game will be released some time before the 3rd installment to help build up hype. This is a great move that a lot of other companies should follow. So, what other games should get re-released on the PS3. Follow the link to read on.

With the recent announcement that God of War and God of War II are coming to blu-ray disc as the God of War Collection, bringing trophies and 720p HD graphics alongside it, you can't help but feel as if there are other games that should follow God of War in this console-shift. With so many sequels on the horizon, a lot of gamers may have not gotten the chance to play their PS2 beginnings, and this could be the perfect opportunity.

    YES to the remakes of the Persona games. I would totally re-buy them again if they made it.

    It's a pretty nice list of games, I'd love to have any of them listed if they were re-made for Blu-ray.

      Persona 1 and 3 are getting psp reboots. The original is getting graphical overhaul as well as some tweaks to battle, and I think Persona 3 on psp will feature an alternate female protagonist.

        Yeah there is a Female alternate route.


        Personally I don't want it to leave the PS2, I don't have the cash for a PS3. =(

    How bout re-release Twisted Metal: Black along with the new one. You cant leave that game in the dust. It was such a kick-ass almost-launch title.

    yh. How could you not have the Gta's on that list. Come on' man their amazing.
    I would like to see a better new version of sims, but not called sims something like 'Life in a game' or something.
    Liked the sims, but it is really hard to look after your Sim.

    I'd like to see Shadow of the Colossus be re-made for the PS3. I'm dying to play it, but I think the PS2 version has a few issues when played on PS3s.

    I guess I'd also like to see the return of PES 5. Or, essentially what I'm asking for is that Seabass and co. look back at PES 5 to remind themselves of what made the series so great, and to stop churning out the crap PES titles that we've seen so far on next-gen! Bringing it back to a PS3 exclusive would help.

    One game was missing from the list: Black. Give it a graphical upgrade & some extras and you got one must-download from Store.

    A Team ICO double pack would be very awesome. Especially since it can help people who haven't play them before a chance to experience it's greatness, as well as build up hype for The Last Guardian.

    Maybe we can also see some Jak & Ratchet collections, or an upscaled Dragon Quest VIII, since Sony will be missing out on the next two games.

    Something tells me that someone would do a Metal Gear Solid and/or GTA collection would really sell like hot cakes.
