You Stinker - OXCGN’s Worst Games They’ve Played This Year

OXCGN takes a solid look at some of their worst games this year - so far. Some might surprise you, others won't, but they do ask that you share your worst game with them. Slip over and check it out now.

With AAA game season just around the corner (you know that special overcrowded time when the big games usually compete to get your attention and almighty cash), we thought we’d look back on the year so far and pick out some games from all platforms which wasted our time and money.

Sure, there may be more stinkers to come, but they usually don’t dare to face off against the big end of year hitters.

      Various games on there are multi-platform. Also, OXCGN is primarily an Xbox website, so they've mostly played Xbox games.

      Well as pointed out, it's the games the OXCGN team have 'played' so far this year that 'they' think are stinkers - from their experience.

      It's not aimed a definitive list of stinker games including all platforms, just those games the guys have played.

      There are others in the team who've had their fair share of horror story game experiences, but just didn't get their info in in time for the article.

    Good to see none of the 360 games are exclusives anyway, i was gonna get Damnation, but then i read all the reviews and was like, f that =|

      It was mostly undeserved hate really. Basically everything they should have called out on other games for(like the lack of color in Gears) but were probably given money not to, were unnecessarily called out on in this.

      Prince of Persia style exploration with a good shooter mechanic in a steam punk world. It's actually quite good.

      And Kave, I'm gonna have to take a total shot in the dark here and say that the "Xbox Community" reviewers don't really review PS3 exclusives.

    It took me awhile to get to this game, but this year I finally gave it a go. Kill. Me. Now. When it took me 30 minutes to get out of the bloody first room in the game I was already in a rage.

    Why the hell was it that to progress from the first room, you had to do more than simply walk straight out the exit, when in the intro the guy walks straight in?

    So uhh what was the whole point of the intro then? Weird… then I finally got out, saw the horrible framerate, awkward controls and hilarious dialogue. And I put the controller down before playtime even hit 1 hour.
    Man, people come up with some of the stupidest reasons to hate this game. I think if people would stop jumping on the hatewagon and actually tried playing the game with no prior bias, they would like it. I got the game the week it came out, played it all the way through, explored every location there was, and enjoyed myself the whole time.

    It wasn't until after I played the entire game thoroughly that I started reading the horrible reviews, all of which seem to exhibit spoiled gamers writing about how the game occasionally lags (which they fixed), or how the multiplayer wasn't up to standards. I'm sure everyone thinks I'm crazy for saying this, but I enjoyed it better than Oblivion, and much better than Morrowind. The game, to me, was like a perfect mix between Elder Scrolls and Fable and then some. It had better armor customization, better special abilities, much more diverse environment, etc.

    You are crazy. That list was retarted though some really good games on that list and they seemed to confuse worst games with games that arent for your tastes.

    Some people seem to confuse the phrase 'bad game' with 'game I suck at/is too hard'.

    I found Portal hard but it's still a great game.
