ResumePlay's Tyler Richie compiled five game worlds that gamers would not want to live in. Gamers want to escape reality when they play games but wouldn't want these games to become actuality.

Most people want to escape reality, saying that they would love to live in the world of video games and other fantasy genres of the sort. However not all of the worlds are cupcakes and sunshine, and some are downright deadly to live in. With the current generation filled with games like Fallout and the upcoming Darksiders, I thought I would point out just these few.

I thought of planet Sera while reading this article, I really wouldn't want to live in a world where you might run into a Locust.

If the game didn't already prove this, the books certainly do. Ugh.

My thoughts exactly, the books have shown how horrible that world really is. Then before E Day, the world was stuck in a crappy war for forever already so my life would definately have sucked.

Liberty City is the only game world i think id actually WANT to live in. it'd be pretty much like LA or New York, lots of gangs and illegal stuff going down so not a whole lot different.

i cant think of anything else that would be appealing.

      yeah you say that now.

But it's all fun and games until some noob with a magic cellphone starts blowing shit up with IRL's and constantly revitalizing health.

yeah, but i was thinking i would live in Liberty City but no one would have a magic cell phone like in the game. it would be just living there without the gameplay elements of GTA. so the only thing would be the crime and the mafias and such.

        OR

maybe i would have the magic cell phone. who's to say some noob would have one and i wouldnt?

why? like i said its not much different from a lot of large cities in the real world. a hell of a lot better than the God of War world, unless Kratos was around to protect you 24/7. and just forget the Lost Planet world. i wouldnt really even want to live in the Halo universe, unless it was after the Covenant had been defeated and Earth was nice and safe.

Yeah, I don't wanna get my ass burned so Kratos can get through a door he probably could have broken down in the first place.

Liberty City? Yeah I'd say that's one of my preferred locations.

Decent list, definitely don't want to be in the God of War world, heh.

EDN III was a good choice. Hopefully the second Lost Planet will also be able to captivate that feeling of loneliness in the single player.

I would want to to live in Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X (Except the part when Sin destroys it)

I was actually gonna say that too. That would be one helluva place to hang out in.

I can't believe Raccoon City wasn't on this list.

Then again RC is a pristine place with clean neighborhoods, fresh water, a lovely forest and it's a quaint little place in the middle of nowhere safe from all the terrorists, oh and also we are all safe under the watchful eye of the Umbrella Corporation

    *feels loved*

i wouldnt mind living in Raccoon City. as shown in the first RE games, zombies are slow and easy to kill. im not even militarily trained and i could kill those zombies left and right. as long as the Las Plagas and G Virus stayed out of it, i think it would be fine to live in.

Heck even the Pokemon world would be scary. Imagine living around creatures that can shock, burn, drown, charm, or beat you to death.

Oops I stepped on a Caterpie and all his relatives retaliate...

How about Oblivion? Magic, the local militia with better crime tracking technology than Jack Bauer...

Half-Life 2 would be pretty bad... Headcrab infestations, aliens ruling over humanity, etc.

Oh god not the headcraps. You would have to constantly carry a crowbar.

I wouldn't want to live in the Netherworld, in The Disgaea/NIS games, to be sure. Sure, it's a comedy, but even weak demons would rape my poor human arse >_> Plus extreme environments, like lava fields, and sub zero ice worlds....Yeah, I don't think so...

Now, if I could reincarnate into the majin....Maybe >_>

I would totally visit all of those places, but living there would be another story. I would probably get my house blown up if I lived in Zanarkand.
