Batman: Arkham Asylum is undoubtedly a breath of fresh air in the comic book video game scene. Many are proclaiming it to be the new standard. So which comic book heroes could stand to benefit from Arkham Asylum's momentum? GameObserver takes a look at a few franchises, and explains how they could be designed.

The Man of Steel, perhaps even more than the Dark Knight, has been the subject of some of the worst game outings, ever. I still have nightmares of flying through rings (or trying to, anyway). And with the rather lackluster “Superman Returns: The Game,” Supes just hasn’t had a game to match his star power. I think that would be easy to change.

The first thing to do is to logically take a look at all of Superman’s powers. There’s a fair deal of them, but let’s look at the major ones: Flight, Speed, Heat vision, X-Ray vision, Telescopic vision, and of course Super Strength.

That guy is dumb - he is simply giving different concepts for the games and how they could be done. He isn't addressing the fact that it isn't necessarily the scenarios that make the game awful. It is the gameplay mechanics. Why not take a look at how you can set up the use of powers a little better than previous games? The story should come a little lower on the list then actual gameplay.

A Green Lantern game would be fantastic considering he's possibly my favorite superhero alongside The Flash and Batman, but i don't think a Flash game would work so well

    Spidey games are always valid
He's powerful enough to make you feel like a proper superhero but not godlike enough to mess with game balance. How you'd make Superman and the Flash (although Flash is a great character)into non game breaking characters without making them dull I don't know.
