Here is my blog piece detailing the difference between flame bait and opinion. Remember, just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are trying to enrage you. Some gamers, surprisingly, need to grow up.

"I have noticed an interesting trend when posting opinions regarding games and consoles. If the opinion is not agreed upon by certain segments of the reading populace, they automatically will call a topic flame bait. I am here to tell you that when writing about the videogame industry, it is hard not to write opinions. But just because someone does not share your same idea, does not mean the viewpoint is not valid. Some of my fellow gamers need to learn and understand the difference."

Flame bait = Why Sony PS3 will dominate and 360 sucks
Opinion = Why the PS3 will pick up in sales head to head with 360

Of course normal people already know this. It's the ignorant fanboys we must teach this to. Sadly there's no possible way of teaching a fanboy.

The only time you can confuse flame bait with simple opinion is when the person stating their simple opinion is an absolute retard or the person confused is an absolute retard. It's not rocket science.

The main difference . . . is when someone poses their opinion as fact. Then proceeds to feel that anyone with a differing opinion is an idiot for no reason other than having a different opinion.
