A pretty accurate chart of past Nintendo consoles that pretty much owned, and some that killed Nintendo's image. The list goes all the way upto the current Wii, their best product yet. It's actually pretty interesting to read, I recommend all Nintendo fans, or just any gamer alike read.

"Over the years Nintendo has been criticized from analyst, gamers, and developers alike. Let's look back and analyze the criticism towards Nintendo's fall from the top of the mountain to its dominance with the Wii."

Cheaper my...butt. I also miss the old systems. I would chose a Super Nintendo over an Xbox anyday. All the old Donkey Kong and Mario games. AH, it was classic. Too bad they stopped game creation for the SNES and NES.

Ah I remember the good old cartridges, just slot it in and turn it on, simple as that. I still have my SNES lying around, which I still come back to every now and then even with the VC games I have on the Wii.

Wiiitis? Sounds scary. Actually, makes me want to stretch and roll around so I don't get Mouseitis from using the computer too! I know this is a real problem as I have friends with jobs that involve sitting in front of a computer all day shifting the mouse around and they report pains that they've never had. It looks like they need to see a chiropractor.

How I loved to just slot cartridges in. These days, it's inserting discs. It's just not the same anymore.

Discs are like a million times more efficient than cartridges. Sure we all remember how much fun we had playing paperboy, and super mario land as kids.. but am I the only one who remembers blowing the dust out of the cartridge/console and cleaning the damn things with Q-tips for like 8 hours before I could get the things to work for more than 10 minutes?

It wasn't worth it for you? After I completed the final Super Mario Bros. game,I cried for two hours in my room. At least release a new Mario game involving Bowser/Mario/Peach/Luigi on the Wii.

i loved the no load time though. I still love it! for my DS!
When I sampled games on the PSP, i couldn't believe how long I would have had to wait to play anything. Handhelds I play when I'm bored and usually waiting for something- like in a long line, or in a bus, or in a plane, I don't want to wait even More for my PSP!
Cartridges still have a place in gaming. Nintendo's smart to know that much.

....uhhhh...mind telling me the estimate time of how long you had to wait? My PSP is perfect when I'm on bus rides, and no, it does not make me wait.

The ones I samples were Ridge racer and some other game. As I recall, the wait time varied between 5 to 15 seconds. Sure, it's under 30 seconds, but compared to the DS loading time, like .25 seconds, it's a huge percentage increase.

I still remember the good old days of the original console war between Sega and Nintendo when I was growing up. It is good to see nintendo doing so well again

Looks at his N64 that has dust and the cartridge. Maybe I should play it. I'm starting to really miss playing Paper Mario.

I liked the cartruges. The disks are fine to use, but they can get scratched and smudgy too easily. Also, you can't do the tricks and glitches like on the 64 games, and the enjoyment of taking out the cartridge when you are about to lose on a multiplayer game isn't present on the Gamecube and other disk systems.
