New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the first game to implement Nintendo's new "Super Guide" (Demo Play) feature, which helps players progress through a game when they get stuck.

This article takes a look at whether Zelda Wii should use a similar feature...

We also know that one of the positives of New Super Mario Bros. Wii is that the difficulty of the game is apparently boosted. Should we see this as a correlation with the Super Guide? Hopefully. Therefore, this would mean the Zelda Wii also has a greater challenge, one which could substantially lengthen the lifespan of the game, especially for non-users of the 'Super Guide' feature.

However, it is likely that, like Mario, that mode is triggered if the player stumbles and can no longer advance on a puzzle. It would indicate the way forward after several minutes of wandering in the corridors, or indicate the way forward to tackle a boss battle.

Obviously, this is mere speculation and should be regarded as such. It has not been confirmed by the publisher. But it at least has the merit of opening the debate and ideas. Including yours.

Nintendo doesn't even know how they'll use it because they're unsure of how much help to actually give and how it'll actually work.

If the next Wii Zelda game is as easy and straight forward as Twilight Princess (don't get me wrong, great game though), then no, it's not needed. I'd much rather games don't hold the players hand every single minute. Let the player learn like the old days... that's partly what made arcade games so fun.

eh....They may as well. I won't be using it. But it's no fun being stuck and conventional gamer logic doesn't come overnight. Some people struggle with basic puzzles that you find in Zelda. My roommate in college had a hard time with the ice blocks puzzle in Twilight Princess. So much so in fact, I had to beat it for him.

It felt like I had a younger brother come to think of it.

I hate puzzles on ice. I just can't do them. I remember being stuck in that ice dungeon in Pokemon Silver for weeks. That ice block crap gave me difficulty too. I can't wrap my mind around the slipping and sliding. Arrgh...I prefer Water Temples to those spots.

Well, on second thought, I might use it.

I'd be like "This is the dungeon where I get the bow? -_- Skip to bow!"
