Quite a few people were disappointed with Grand Theft Auto IV, but the upcoming DLC pack The Ballad Of Gay Tony might be what those fans have been waiting for, with xboxist.com claiming "Rockstar seems to finally be re-introducing some of the ingredients that fans have been asking for."

More than a year after the original release of Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar is about to release a downloadable content pack that will be the game many fans were waiting for. Some will argue that The Ballad of Gay Tony arrives too late to make much of a difference for those who felt betrayed by the original GTA IV. The first game had tons of narrative punch, but lacked many of the little details that made San Andreas so fun: there wans't much to do outside of the main storyline, and customizing the main character was out of the question. But now, with The Ballad of Gay Tony, Rockstar seems to finally be re-introducing some of the ingredients that fans have been asking for.

Sounds really good but seeing as it's exclusive I have no reason to buy GTAIV again seeing as I wouldn't be able to play this anyway.

Great; they've made the game what it should have been over a year after release.

I shouldn't be bitter; for all it's flaws the game was good for what it was, even if it was unnecessary change.

Yeah, that's what I always say. I'd love GTAIV if it weren't a GTA game.

Same here. Once I finished IV, I never really went back to it, despite buying the guide and all. It just didn't grasp me as much as the others.
