Naughty Dog's Amy Hennig has been in the gaming industry for 17 years and is behind many great series, including Uncharted and Legacy of Kain. Gamesthirstarticles has decided to dedicate an article to the leading lady in a man's world...

Too often, women don't get the recognition they deserve. They work hard, most times behind the scenes and never seek to be recognized. Men across the globe who are successful, will tell you it's because of a strong woman behind them that's the reason they were able to endure the stresses that come along with any venture. They are smart, talented, blessed, and innovative. They've also left huge marks in the gaming industry, and today, GameThirst honors the lady that's breathing new life in the market, and into you living rooms, with the awesome Uncharted 2: Among Thieves title. Take some time and honor the stellar lady with us, Amy Hennig of Naughty Dog.

She is part creative director and part game director at Naughty Dog, no wonder really, since she's been in the industry for over 17years, her skills can't be held to one department. At the company, her focus is to make sure that the big vision of any game they're working on translate into story, characters and cinematics. In brief, her main focus is on story and writing, and working with the actors.

Gabe Newell is one of the gaming world's best leader type person of a dev group and, to put it nicely, he looks like the left ass cheek of Bam Magera's fat uncle.

And I'm just saying someone can be ugly as sin and it wouldn't matter because they have a brilliant mind which deserves recognition.

I've never understood why the internet, populated with a lot of fatties and uggos, is always so shallow.

I believe it's always so shallow in an attempt to make themselves look better by discrediting the way others look or are. It's simple: instead of make yourself better legitimately, just shove everyone else under you!

The majority of people in the game industry is ugly-as-sin, but nobody seems to mention their appearance until a woman's picture is posted. Hooray for the gaming community >_>

That's because the comments we leave are from behind a computer. Sure we have usernames, but we're still anonymous. We have the ability to critique someone and get away with it. I applaud this woman for her amazing work. She makes great games.

I've always had a lot of respect for Amy with what she did with Legacy of Kain. She made it what it is today (minus BO2). And I knew going to ND she'd have an impact.

I remember watching a Behind the Scenes video on the first Uncharted game's disk and noticing Amy. I guess with all the macho themes I just don't really expect to see a woman in that position at Naughty Dog, hats off indeed.
