Are we ready for Modern Warfare? Terrorism Simulator *Spoilers*

This article take a look at the new leaked scene from Modern Warfare 2 where you are killing civilians. It asks if this is the next level of realism in games, and are we ready for it.

I have always been a proponent to realism in video games. I have always wanted a dramatic moment in a game to elicit an emotion from the player. I think that as a medium, video games need to do this to truly be considered art. Now that I have seen the new footage that was leaked from Modern Warfare 2 I may be changing my tone.

      True. Its a interesting intro, leave it at that. They are evil terrorist, evil terrorist kill people. Thats all that is. For the rest of the game, you are killing evil terrorist.

    It's headlines like 'Terrorism Simulator' that give games a bad name in the first place.

    I agree with you guys. The hype around this game is massive and I do not think that this game will live up to our expectations or get Game of the Year.

    I am seriously SICK of hearing about Call of Duty: Yet another generic war game 2, seriously, it's not going to be the best game EVER so stop with the news about it already! I swear, this game will disappoint alot of people when it's released.

      I'm with you on this one. I was constantly hounded by my friends to buy the first one. Rented it for 7 days. Never picked it up again. Seriously, apart from the online (which was pretty good I'll admit), there is nothing in COD4 that stood out among other games for me.

      Of course, I'm not going to use that as a blanket statement for the majority. Everyone has preferences.

      I agree. I haven't seen any other game hyped up so much. Even GTA IV had its limits.

    It is a generic war game but I wouldn't count on it to disappoint it's fanbase. The vast majority of its fans are blinded fanboys who like realism and good graphics and couldn't give a shit about story or gameplay.
