Batman, one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. Throughout the years Batman games haven't quite captured the essence of the Batman we're used to reading about in comics. This article reflects on those things and also gives some insight on how Arkham Asylum might have saved the Batman games franchise.

It's a plain-as-the-nose-on-your-face secret that filmmakers finally discovered with modern superhero movies like X-Men, Spider-Man, Hellboy, and Iron Man. For years, game makers didn't respect what made Batman unique.

    Arkham Asylum definitely saved the Batman franchise for many games to come, if it hadn't been for Rocksteady taking the chance they did with Batman, then we would probably have seen another poorly developed Batman game from a different publisher and then see Batman games go down the toilet for another couple of years.

    Now that Rocksteady have made the huge success which is Arkham Asylum, they now have been green lighted to carry it on with a sequel. Hell, Rocksteady are definitely kings of Batman games for many years now.
