Hell yeah. They really need to spread out the titles, Fall's always bombarded with hits. It's likely due to marketing and extra time/development that leads to the late-yaer releases, but damn do wallets take a hit. Then there's the titles after X-Mas, four in particular between Jan/Feb being: Army of Two: 40th Day, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, and BioShock 2.

Yes it makes it very hard to pick up every game I want during the holidays. I wish more companies would release games during the summer season, but then their sales will tank because it's probably a much harder market to sell in.

YES. They really need to space it out more. Where were the great games back when I was getting bored in may/june/july?

Eh. Christmas is the time for spending so it only makes sense that more big-name games come out around Christmas time.

It's a prime selling season, why wouldn't companies want to push out their titles then? Even when they're competing with a larger number of other games the simple fact that people are more willing to spend this season makes it a more lucrative opportunity.

You could always wait a bit and get other games later. Nobody's forced to get games at launch or else never see them again, surely.
