Sure, everyone seems to be raging about the lack of dedicated server support for the PC version of MW2, but shouldn't people be talking more about the fact that MW2 is priced the same on both console and PC? Why should a PC game cost $60?

Apparently Activision and Infinity Ward aim to challenge this model with Modern Warfare 2, by pricing it at the console rate of $59.99 for all PC versions—brick and mortar or digital.

so prove that to Activision by getting the hard copy only. they wont continue charging full price for a digital copy if no one buys them. like they say, vote with your wallet. buy the physical copy and show them.

Yes they will, it doesnt cost them for Digital copies, simply raising the sales of hard copies isn't going to make them lower digital prices. It doesnt matter to them, a sale is a sale, hard or digital.

im sure there will still be dumbasses who get the digital copy of this game, even though you get a lot more with the physical copy, but i doubt more than 20% of those who buy it on PC will get the digital copy.

You can build a gaming PC that runs games at higher resolutions , and with better framerates, than a console for about 500 by the way, if you really know what you are doing (or want to spend a while researching it).

But lets face it, quite a number of people don't. And then there's a number of people who should never even touch a motherboard or get their hand within 5 inches of one. You are right though I suppose.

That's still 200 dollars more than a console.

You can also do a kajillion different non-gaming things with a PC.

Exactly, then you actually need to know what you're doing. Otherwise, you'll *bleep* up your $500 custom PC. It's why the common consumer prefers consoles, all you need to do is spend a few hundred dollars, and you got yourself a good console without lifting a finger.
