While DJ Hero has received critical praise, how does it hold up against the scrutiny of real DJs? The Kartel brings together several of the hottest DJs in the bay area, and have them go at it in a DJ session to find out.

"This game will bring the DJ forefront to the masses. People will see that this a fun experience and that DJ'ing as a whole is exciting," according to Will Silva, DJ Willy Will, a Latin and Hip-Hop veteran who's also represented by Wild 94.9

Are you saying every guitarist who has their music on Guitar Hero or Rock Band isn't a real guitarist?

Plus, the DJs who played DJ Hero liked it anyway.

Personally I love twisting people's words around to make them look like gigantic assholes, but it's a little too obvious here.

"Real guitarists" = people that actually play guitar, it has nothing to do with artists in the games, A2.

Well, if people who play guitar have offered to put their music in the game, than they don't hate the game, and thus, not all real guitarist hate Guitar Hero.

Offered? LOL. I'm pretty sure they were paid fairly well in royalties for the privilege of having their music on the games XD

It makes me smile when people are completely oblivious to the joke being on them.

I don't think real guitarists hate the game. I think they hate that people think it's some real representation of playing a guitar. But generally speaking, any game that represents a profession, or hobby, like football, guitar playing or DJing, is never going to feel like the real thing.

I gotta agree, I just think real guitarists hate when people think they can kill it with a real guitar because they are good in the game and then brag about it to the world.

I reckon they'd enjoy the game, these games are always good fun to play.

It's not about hating the game, but hating the people who bash real DJs because they beat their song on DJ Hero. :\

That's the same concept as GH though. Enjoy the game if you want. Just don't take it as any sort of gauge of real mixing skill, because in no way is it one.
