With recent releases of Facebook and Twitter on consoles, many gamers are questioning if these social networking even belong consoles. The whole purpose of consoles and video games are to be suspended from reality, and social networking just grabs you and pulls you back. Well that is what Steve Boxer at CVG believes. One of the curses of the 21st century is the way in which pretty much every day, a new Next Big Thing emerges, which will inevitably change the world forever. Invariably, each Next Big Thing is web-related, and in recent years, an example of social networking.
I'm afraid I'm suffering from social networking-fatigue now. You're lucky if my Facebook status is updated in any given week. Tumbleweed blows across my MySpace account, even though half of my mates are musicians.

In the middle of checking out the Twitter and Facebook features on Xbox LIVE, I realized that I didn't want my LIVE friends mingling with my FB ones. Frankly, it's just creepy, and there's a barrier there I'd rather maintain.
But hey, no one's forcing us to use 'em right?
Also the update only shows the actual games trophy logo, not the pics you get for each individual trophy.
Only thing you can do on the XBOX360 is update your status. That's it. You can check profiles of others but only if you have them added on Facebook. You can also see if anyone else in your facebook friends has XBOX Live.
or just too lazy to log onto a PC?
