Holiday shopping has already started and since video games are favorite gifts to give and recieve this time of the year, Game Podunk has put together a holiday guide for each platform. Rrquinta kicks off with what we recommend for Nintendo Wii.

With the usual deluge of video game releases in the third and fourth quarter, combined with the continuing sagging economy, gamers may have an even harder time this holiday season coming up with the cash for all the games they want. In case you're hoping Santa (or, as the case may be, Hanukkah Harry) will bring you a sleighful of goodies this year, here's a little help making up those lists of yours.

First up is the Wii, which dominated the market for so long, yet saw sales fall this year, possibly due to market saturation, and also due to a lack of strong titles. However, with a recent price drop (now $199.99) and a hefty line-up of games, now may be the best time to stock up for your little white box.

The Wii Fit Plus maybe overhyped, but I know it will still sell well. I look forward to trying Little King Story. Been hearing good things about it forever!

I'd like to have a Wii just for 4 of those 5 games listed. I'm not into the Wii Fit Plus. Rabbids Go Home looks like a good quirky title. And who wouldn't like the New Super Mario Bros.?

I think Super Mario Bros Wii could have been better, but it's still fun, and better than the DS version, in my opinion. I'm not into shooters, but I've only heard good things about DS Extraction, and I'm really looking forward to getting to play Rabbids: Go Home in full, as well as Little King's Story.
