Fans of Manhunt 2 have created a petition to have Nintendo and Sony reconsider its decision to forbid Manhunt 2 to be released so long as it is an AO game.

This petition submitted on June 21, 2007 is hereby presented to Nintendo of America, Sony Computer Entertainment, Microsoft Corporation, Take-Two Interactive Software, Rockstar Games, future console developers, and other software developers. We hereby petition the above organizations to reevaluate the current policy towards software titles rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) to be AO (Adults Only), specifically the decision in lacking endorsement to said titles in being released. The American public has the ability to decide for themselves what software they wish to buy and would like to be given the chance to do so freely in the marketplace.

I doubt Nintendo or Sony listens to online petitions, but I signed it anyway.

I know these kind of things hardly work but I'll sign just for the hell of it.

Petitions barely ever work like bakfromon said. I'm not going to sign.

This is stupid. And anyways, even if they approve, what of the stores that won't sell it?

Way to go with bringing up something totally irrelevant, Phil. Brilliant.

Just so you know, Microsoft is against 'Adults Only' games as well. It's not just Sony and Nintendo.

I agree with Nintendo and Sony.
There is a "too far", limiting violence ensures that the gameplay is not relying on it. A good chioce by them both.

Though I believe that Nintendo and Sony should give the people the chance to have their hands on the uncut version, a petition is very unlikely to make any difference whatsover. The decision sounds final at this point as it is.

Yes, online votes are real credible, considering a large portion of the votes come from those who wouldn't be able to play it in the first place anyway.

ameer? i don't understand your argument. Is it because the people signing the petition you assume to be under 18?
    I signed the petition.
I find it weird though, that Sony and Nin have the rights to let a game be published or not on their systems. PC is the only platform that would not have this restriction huh?

Note that I said large portion. Besides, it's not like an online petition has any real influence. There's no way to validate either the age of the signees, the amount of times a person has signed, and no online form of signature, thus making the whole exercise rather pointless.

Petition's can work, as long as they indicate an accurate number of people who will be very, very pissed and cause lots and lots of trouble if they don't get their own way. If ignoring the petition will have no consequences then most people will carry on doing what they want.

Calm down people! Do you need to be reminded that people of all ages visit Neoseeker and its subsites? How hard is it to control yourself, or do you have use bad language every time the urge arises?

Thumb downs can't express the way I feel every time I see such language anywhere on the net.

All comments containing foul language have been removed.

Bandito Attack's post had foul language too, but it didn't get deleted.

Anyway, I think I might sign this.
