With EA's announcement of the Medal of Honor reboot, gamers got a chance to take a gander at the new box art for the game. While it is almost assuredly just a temporary image to be used as filler for retailers, there is no denying that the artwork is strikingly similar to another modern day FPS...

While we will have to wait until sometime in 2010 to judge the game for ourselves, the cover art doesn’t inspire much confidence. I say this because it looks, as you can see below, almost exactly like Modern Warfare 2’s box art...

      Excellent deduction, er, Watson. xD

Eh, if they used the MW2 cover as inspiration more power to them I guess. I don't really care for box arts, long as they fit the theme of the game I'm happy. I'd pay more attention to the back of the box to get a better insight on the game. :S

It's like one of those posters that you have to stare at before you see anything.

Honestly though, if you took the plus sign and equal sign out of that photoshop of the three pictures together, you could easily place MW2 or MoH's logo's on any box and wouldn't notice the difference.

IMO.. this is just true of a lot of war games (not just this example), they end up looking very similar. I don't think EA was trying to copy here, but if picture 1 + picture 2 had a baby, it would be picture 3.

Same, the cover's fine and nothing like the Modern Warfare 2 cover (Which IS a good thing, raving fanboys)

The resemblance is that the arts both have a single guy in the image holding an M4 Carbine. Compare the black and white Modern Warfare 2 image to the Medal of Honor one. The background even looks the same in a way. That's all I caught on. No big deal really, but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if EA dcided to copy the biggest game of the year.

If I'm not mistaken it's the biggest game ever.

I don't really care, I always thought the MW boxart has been terrible.

The Medal of Honor one looks better... I guess it means Medal of Honor is a better game.

Doesn't really strike much of a resembalence to me. So what? both games have a picture of a single person on the front. Doesn't mean they look the same.

A more thought provoking article would've been to ask the reader what conclusions they would come up with by looking at the cover. Pointless, but then again, so is this article.

Oh hey look, they're similar because they have a soldier on the front holding a gun! WOAH! Somebody slap me! I don't believe it!

Yeah, and just how many other games have a guy with a gun for box art? Yeah that's what I thought...
