Ironically, the list dubbed "Ten Games to Cross off Your Child's Gift List" almost certainly contains at least one game that if on ever member of Neoseeker's list this holiday season.

Now while I'm sure the Times *scoff* has their reasons to dislike this list of mostly shooters and questionable ethical decisions, but that's the main draw (at least for most gamers)

The New York Times list is as follows:

* Assassin's Creed II
* Borderlands
* Brutal Legend
* Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
* Dead Space: Extraction
* Dragon Age: Origins
* GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony
* Demon's Souls
* Left 4 Dead 2
* Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

    They truly have no idea do they? Most kids would love every single one of those games.

    Well yeah, but the title does say a 'child's' christmas list. Lots of death and sex in those games, although tbh the sex in DA:O looks like something run up on photoshop.

    This is nothing new, of course these are games your child shouldn't be playing, why do you think there's a big M sign at the corner of every one of these games?

    Seriously I thought NY Times was supposed to write something original to set it apart from the rest of the other papers out there. Then why do they keep copying shit Fox spews out almost daily?

    Yes, for a child's list I could see this being a might inappropriate. but most of those games are actually really good. I think the article was meant to help parents that don't know about games think before they buy.
