    - Negative: There is next to no strategy or skill involved, just keep pushing or mashing the attack button mixed with some magic attacks and you will be fine. Seriously.
    Bull. *bleep*ing. Shit.

Bring me a video of an entire playthrough of people using solely ATK/BLA throughout the whole game and I will agree that there is a god - and they are it.

You can't analyse the complaints unless you've played the game. VG Arabia very clearly haven't.

The Demo proved you need to think before moving.

And with all the new things like Optima/Paradigm, i seriously doubt anyone will beat this game button mashing.

Can you even beat an RPG by button mashing?

An action game, I can understand. But an RPG? All of them require some sort of strategy, even the easy ones.

the article discuss the points of criticism that have been surfacing on the internet. This is not the first site to say these things, nor to be the last. I played the whole FFXII pressing the attack button and sometimes magic attacks. Also, he discuss the game from different angles, positives and negatives, which is clever.

I'm very aware of what the internet has been saying about the game. For starters, I own it. I know the complaints, I have experienced them. I've seen the same list regurgitated so many times. But my point is, when they have such a glaring inaccuracy, how can any of their analysis be considered valid? They haven't done any research, they don't know what they're talking about. They tried, but they should have figured out what they were saying first.

FFXIII is not FFXII. FFXIII is a dick in the arse if you don't approach each encounter differently. Some battles are next to impossible with just physical attacks and magic attacks. Some battles take in excess of half an hour with just physical attacks and magic attacks. One boss, you take too long (from just using physical attacks and magic attacks) and he'll cast Doom on you.

I can appreciate that they tried to address the complaints in an unbiased manner, but when you get the end and find that they have absolutely no clue, it's hard to take them seriously and it would have been better if they hadn't even bothered.

Well, Final Fanstasy has always been about change and innovation. Seriously, how many different forms of character development have we had? Traditional level-up, jobs, shpere grid, materia, license board... it stands to reason that they would keep trying new things, even if an old one was perfect.

There has been at least one big gameplay change in each title ever since FFIX. I think it's safe to say that they're focusing on taking this franchise to a different level of RPG that many people aren't comfortable with.

I'm all for nostalgia and keeping to a game's roots, but seriously... We're on XIII now. If they kept on spewing out typical gameplay after typical gameplay then we would all just be bitching about how it's the same and they're doing nothing to change it.

They've pretty much gotten to the point where they're so big, and widely known and accepted, that regardless of which direction they go, they're going to get shit for anything they do.

It's now time for us, as the consumer, to get over the fact that the style is different, and look at it as a game in and of itself, and not as a game based on the series as a whole.

I think that, at the same time, FF has gotten so big that, no matter what changes are made, a new installment will sell well, which is more than likely all the devs really care about.

It's like Star Wars. If a new Star Wars movie came out, with a budget of $100,000, and with Eddie Murphy and Vin Diesel playing every character, I'm willing to bet that it would be #1 in the box office for at least a week.

Let's just hope SqEnix doesn't start throwing shit together for each installment. I think they've done well so far.

I don't give a crap about a Western article bitching about a game whose Western version hasn't even been released yet but HOLY CRAP, look how big that chocobo is!

All of these fricken reviews are bashing this game just because it makes them popular. Everyone loves it, so who cares if a couple retarded sites think otherwise. They're all crap points anyhow. Like how the game is so linear. THATS HOW ALL FF GAMES ARE!!!

Unfortunately, that's the new "cool" thing to do; bash legitimately good games just so you're different so you can get more site traffic.

What's sad is that it's become so much the norm as of late, that people are actually starting to buy into their bullshit.

Hell, the 'cool' thing to do now would be to actually LIKE a game.

I actually disagree. I think that these sites genuinely dislike the game; not because it deserves being disliked, of course, but because they're such closed-minded retards that anything that can't be abbreviated into a type of fish is wrong in their stupid heads.

I for one don't pay attention to this kind of shit.I will be gladly picking this game up the day it's released.

Usually anyone who has half a brain can see the idiotic flawed statements that these jackasses come up with.
