It's a new decade, so how about resolving to drop some of the least helpful lines of discussion? The Kartel's Tom holds forth with some topics we could stand to hear a lot less of in the new decade.

Next time someone says games aren't ideologically flawless works of artistic perfection, instead of crying censorship, how about letting them speak their peace?

Whoa whoa whoa... Uwe Boll is a terrible director period which is why all of his movies suck. Did you see how House of the Dead was cut? I mean, that was down right terrible. Compare that to say... Street Fighter. Yes, the movie itself is bad, but the direction and editing isn't down right laughable.

Besides that movies based on video games haven't been all terrible. In fact, myself and many others thought that Silent Hill was a really great film. No, it didn't copy/paste the story of many of the games, but it didn't need to. it incorporated a few ideas from it and became something for itself.

And no, I will not stop trolling fanboys; it's far too satisfying.

I'll stop "pretending" Uwe Bolle is ruining video game cinema when he stops making shitty video game movies.

I resolve not to bitch about a game that is delayed, because it's actually for my own benefit as a gamer. Or at least, I won't bitch about it too much. But damn, I sure wish Diablo 3 was here already.

He's right on some points, but the truth is Jack Thompson is still out there, bitching in Utah I believe, and Uwe Boll may be on shaky territory with the games he chooses, but other directors have shown they can be done right, so he is at least partly responsible.

The fact that the author labelled House of the Dead as being 'boss' was enough for me to disregard his opinion.
