What the Xbox 720 Needs to Conquer the World

This is a feature editorial from gaming website PlanetXbox360.com that focuses on the next Xbox console from Microsoft, and what features it needs to take over the video games industry - being as successful as the Xbox 360.

seems to be a daunting console that really stands the chance of proving itself, at least for the time being, as future-proof. However, this doesn’t mean that eventually, Microsoft is going to decide that a new console is just what the gaming industry needs. When they finally do get around to it, one can only hope that they do what they can to once again get feedback from the gaming community as a whole. After all, no gamer likes to be told what they want and here’s hoping Microsoft takes the cues to create yet another relatively kick ass console in the Xbox 720. Below is a list of the things I think the Xbox 720 must include in it's feature-set from day one, to be successful in the video games industry.

    If the Xbox 720 wants to take over the world, all it needs is to ditch the name, get a shiny new look, and soon enough people will buy.

    Why?

    Because it's a shiny new xbox.


    Not dissing on the xbox or anything, but it's just a sad fact these days. The DS and PSP are perfect examples that as long as it's shiny and new it'll sell. Considering this will be a different console entirely it'll really sell.

    it needs to try to force a new software medium onto the public, and (since it really has nothing else goin for it that nayone cares about) focus on promoting it with this feature as some kind of massive achievement until people actually believe it, despite the fact that the old method still works just fine and it's not really all that different in the first place. then make it cost a million dollars.

    also it needs to be pink, smaller than 2 or 3 DVD blu ray cases, and it needs to come in a variety of 4 cute colors, or black.

    they should try that.

    If the 'sequel' to the 360 is called the Xbox 720 I will cry. It's an incredibly stupid name and it's annoying when people refer to it as that.

    Also, as Audioslave said, 3 years minimum for the next generation of consoles please.
