Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

Remember the Legacy of Kain series? They were great games, back in the day. But what would a non-gamer think of the first Soul Reaver game? Siliconera.com went to find out...
So, of all the games we could have played, I decided to introduce her to Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, since it’s one of my old favourites. We booted it up and initially, she did the whole criticism thing all design students do anytime they lay eyes on anything (they could look at poop and talk about how the colour is off or how it’s too lumpy for ten minutes). In this case, she thought Raziel’s design from the opening cutscene looked terrible (can’t argue there) and that the narration was kind of cheesy. Now, I’ve thought all along that Soul Reaver’s writing was fantastic, so listening to someone who isn’t used to the medium commenting on it was fascinating as always.

*sigh* If only it was an announcement for a new LoK.
Someone seriously needs to ask Amy Hennig if another Kain game might happen in future (I have no idea who owns the rights to the series anymore). I know she's got her hands full with the Uncharted games, but there was a cancelled sequel to Defiance a while back so they must have had plans for another game.
I thought the voice actor for Raziel died, but after some quick research apparently not.
LoK was a grade A series; especially Soul Reaver. It's one of of the few games that I felt did time travel right. Not to mention how well the atmosphere was.
Honestly, my initial thoughts about this game were rather low in the beginning as well. I guess I wasn't into the art style and genre (was a huge fighting genre fan then), but the story and gameplay were too good to pass up, fun adventure.
Speaking of which, I really should get Darksiders, I hear it's style and such reminds people of LoK.
