AOK_Games of ign.com types up a blog about all the hate Nintendo has been receiving lately for being a "lazy" company. The blogger disagrees, using some games from other consoles in an attempt to prove a point. Perhaps it's not Nintendo, but the people who keep going on about it.

When a phrase catches on, it really catches on. You can't turn a corner in the internet gaming community without seeing an article complaining about Nintendo's laziness. IGN is already plagued with two of them.

But the sheer mind-crushing irony of these articles almost makes them too funny to complain. The pot really is calling the kettle black. Has anyone ever taken their crosshairs off of Nintendo to aim at the same old song and dance that other developers are cashing in on? Apparently not; it's too much work.

I skimmed through it, and noticed that the writer was trying to prove that Nintendo isn't lazy by calling other games lazy. If he really wants to show that Nintendo isn't all that bad, he should compare New Super Mario to the original one, and point out the differences- or something along those lines. As it is, he just looks like your regular Nintendo fanboy.

Nintendo are about as creative as Reggie is at coming up with hilarious statements about the Wii.. That company is just a blackhole for anything creative, it is really quite a shame as they could do better than Mario if they really tried.

Yeah, claiming that Nintendo aren't lazy because other companies are lazy too doesn't make a lot of sense. Everyone knows that companies are out to make money off us while spending the minimum amount of money themselves.

Games developers lazy and cheap? Not news.

Least the other games have a brand new stories and different levels. NSMBW is just an old mario game with some extra characters thrown in and possibly minor changes to levels.

Congrats! The article writer is a fanboy!

This article confuses me, the accusers are lazy because they call Nintendo lazy? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't see how they're lazy. Granted you could probably make several points out of it, but I don't see how 'lazy' fits.

As for the developers, anyone could tell you that the majority of developers are lazy. Whilst I do agree on the princpial that you only hear Nintendo getting flak for it the majority of the time, this certainly isn't anything new. Besides that it's more apparent with titles like NSMBW than it is with something like UC2.

I'm also not sure how ODST made it into that list in terms of 'sameyness'

Well, ODST is essentially a downgraded version of Halo 3, so that's probably why.
